NOLA 2020: Barr. Festus Bags NAPS Award

Barr. Festus Ofume Bags NAPS Outstanding Leadership Award (NOLA) 2020 Version.

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) is the umbrella body for all institutions awarding ND
/HND Nation-wide.

NAPS is the second largest students movement in Africa with the membership strength of over 21.1 million armless batallion students schooling both at home and in diaspora.

The leadership of NAPS on Monday (12/10/2020) temporarily relocated her secretariat to the FCT Abuja in honor of Barr. Festus Ofume who was awarded as an ICON OF HOPE.

The NAPS leadership ably led by her National President, Activist Sunday A. Asuku graced the memorable function with five (5) other delegates (Executives and life members) ranging from different geo-political zones.

The Presentation was made by the immediate past President of the West Africa Polytechnic Students Union(WAPSU) Ambassador Salahudeen A. Lukman, who also doubles as one time National President of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS). Amb S. A. Lukman stated categorically that the recipient has been found diligent especially in his area of specialisation, advocating for the poor masses, passion for the emancipation of Nigeria Students from the shackles of oppression, mental slavery, poverty and so he (Recipient) has been deemed worthy of the NOLA 2020 version.

The National President Activist Sunday A. Asuku GCNPS charged the recipient to continue registering his foot print in the sand of time just as he has always been doing, the armless batallion has seen a leader per excellence in him and have chosen to identify with him.

The recipient, Barr. Festus Ofume in his speech made it clear to the leadership of NAPS that he has carefully noted, studied and hated the age-long dichotomy and discrepancy between HND and B.Sc, he said there's no moral justification for unjustly placing a University graduate with a Pass ahead of a Polytechnic graduate with distinction.

He advocated that a level playing ground be accorded to graduates and let the best take the lead, there's no report, findings or philosophy that stated that University graduates are better than their Polytechnic counterparts.

Barr. Festus Ofume said he is willing to support the Polytechnic sector in the struggle against oppression and intimidation as the law doesn't recognize the rich or the week, everyone is equal before the law.

The Organic family of NAPS congratulates and felicitate with Barr. Festus Ofume the Co-founder,Aequita and Partner as he bags NOLA 2020 in a grand style.
