ILORIN RECOGNIZES GAA AS ITS PRIDE – NO CONTROVERSY!

*ILORIN RECOGNIZES GAA AS ITS PRIDE – NO CONTROVERSY!*

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is indeed a pride of the Ilorin Emirate, a gem worth parading, as his achievements speak loudly and have earned him recognition and accolades nationwide.

This recognition must have led to his conferment with the prestigious title of Sardauna of Ilorin by the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari, Mai Martaba Seriki Musulumi.

The title is a testament to his leadership qualities, his love for the culture and traditions of the Ilorin Emirate, and his efforts to promote peace and stability in the state.

As the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of his people. His humility, hands-on approach to governance, and dedication to public service have earned him respect and admiration.

His leadership qualities, which had already been recognized at the national level when he was elected Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum, have been further affirmed by his peaceful management of the forum’s affairs and his strong relationship with the President—unlike those who previously held the position and made Kwara an enemy of the national leadership.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's performance at the national level and his shining example in infrastructural development make him not only the pride of Ilorin but also of Kwara as a whole. Though he is an Ilorin-born governor, he is a Nigeria-made leader.

We believe the Emir of Ilorin’s decision to confer the title of Sardauna of Ilorin on Governor AbdulRazaq last year was a recognition of his significant contributions to the state's development. It is a great honor, as the title was previously held by notable leaders, including Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto.

This recognition underscores Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s position as a respected leader and a champion of the Ilorin Emirate’s culture and traditions.

It is our duty to support such a unique leader, whose exemplary qualities are steering Kwara away from the path of selfishness and egocentrism that had, for the past decade, positioned the state as an adversary to the national leadership.

I am Sanni Yusuf Olatunji from Ilorin West, Ojuekun Zarumi Ward.
