Attacked on Hon. Moshood Alaka Character

_A Public Statement: Setting the Record Straight_

*Attacked on Hon. Moshood Alaka Character*

_Background_

A disturbing petition was submitted to the Commissioner of Police by Segun Adewara and his counterpart, containing scurrilous allegations against Hon. Moshood Alaka, Special Adviser on Party Affairs to the Executive Governor of Kwara State. The claims, which include interference in Isin Local Government appointments affairs and insensitivity to the local government's security challenges which are considered baseless and malicious.

As a dedicated public servant, Hon. Alaka is compelled to respond to these unfounded allegations and set the record straight.

*Clarification*

Upon invitation by the police after the petition by Segun Adewara, I provided a detailed explanation, denying the allegations and clarifying my role as Special Adviser. As a Special Adviser on Party Affairs, my primary responsibility is to serve the Governor and ensure the party's success. I emphasized my commitment to this role and highlighted my contributions to the party's growth and development in Kwara State. My explanation was thorough, and I am confident that it addressed all the concerns raised in the petition.

_Petition Analysis_

A careful analysis of the petition reveals a pattern of ulterior motives and a hidden agenda. The petition outlined grounds for concern, including perceived insensitivity and overreach. However, I firmly believe that these claims are unfounded and stem from a desire to undermine my work and tarnish my reputation. It is regrettable that some individuals would resort to such tactics to discredit others, rather than engaging in constructive dialogue and contributing to the development of our state.

_Truth and Investigation_

In light of these baseless allegations, I appeal to the police force to conduct a thorough investigation, revealing the truth behind these allegations. The facts will demonstrate my dedication to public service and party unity. I have nothing to hide, and I am confident that a thorough investigation will exonerate me of any wrongdoing. I trust that the police will discharge their duties impartially and uncover the truth.

It is in this process that he failed to show up at the police station for his own clarification on the petition and re-petition which made the Police force to go ahead with arrest warrant and yet he started making fuss with the police. I didn't leave my house rather I saw everything on the video he made to display his act of disobedience to the law.

_Conclusion_

I remain committed to my duties and His Excellency's vision for Kwara State. I trust that the truth will prevail, and these baseless allegations will be dispelled. As public servants, our focus should be on serving the people and building a stronger Kwara State, not on engaging in petty squabbles and character assassination. I call on all well-meaning citizens of Kwara State to join me in this noble endeavor, working together to build a brighter future for our state.

Let us reject the politics of character assassination and embrace the politics of ideas and development. Let us work together to ensure that Kwara State remains a beacon of hope and progress in Nigeria. This is the priority of His Excellency and we should make it ours.

Sanni Yusuf Olatunji

Press Secretary to Adviser on Party Affairs to the Executive Governor of Kwara State.
