As Nigeria celebrates its 65 years of Independent today, the Director General of AJIBAT foundation and convener New vision New Kwara Hon.BT Alabi Ajidagba has called for prayers for Kwara State on insecurity, Nigeria our country and unity and peaceful co-existence among the citizens.
BT Ajidagba made the call in his 65 year Independent message in his Ilorin residence, saying that there is hope of a better, stronger and prosperous Nigeria.
The former Chairmanship aspirant of Ilorin West local government said the country had achieved a milestone which marks six and a half decades of independence from British colonial rule, which was achieved on October 1, 1960.
He maintained that the celebration emphasises the need for unity, collaboration, and patriotism among all sectors and citizens towards building a nation characterised by sustainable peace, prosperity, and progress.
"As Nigeria celebrates this significant milestone, it is an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the country's journey, unity, and resilience over the decades.
"It is also a call to action for the future, as the government encourages Nigerians to commit themselves to building a nation where every citizen feels valued and empowered to contribute their quota to the country's goals and aspirations," Hon. BT Ajidagba said.
BT urges the political class, leaders and supporters to close ranks and embrace unity, tolerance, togetherness in ensuring a democratised and egalitarian society.
He calls on the youths, women, aged, others especially in Ilorin West Local Government to support Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON. at this time of facing insecurity in some of regions of Kwara State while also condemning brutal violence of bandit in Oke Ode days ago and praying for the deceased, families to have fortitude to bear the loss.
