APC PRIMARY: CLAIMS OF TRANSPARENCY MUST BE BACKED WITH VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE, NOT PROPAGANDA.

APC PRIMARY: CLAIMS OF TRANSPARENCY MUST BE BACKED WITH VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE, NOT PROPAGANDA.

We have carefully read the statement issued by the so-called “Concerned Party Members of Moro Local Government” attempting to dismiss serious allegations surrounding the APC House of Representatives primary election for Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency.

While they have repeatedly described the process as “transparent” and “credible,” it is important to remind the public that transparency is not established through media statements, emotional blackmail, or coordinated propaganda. Transparency is proven through facts, records, and verifiable documentation.

If indeed the primary election was conducted fairly and Dr. Ajani Abiola Joshua truly secured what they termed an “overwhelming victory,” we challenge the promoters of this narrative to publicly release the complete ward-by-ward results across Edu, Moro, and Patigi Local Government Areas for scrutiny by party members and the general public.

Furthermore, they should provide:

1. Certified copies of the result sheets from all participating wards.

2. The names and official attestations of party agents who allegedly signed the results.

3. Evidence confirming that all accredited agents willingly endorsed the outcome without coercion or manipulation.

4. Details of the collation process and identities of the returning officers involved.

It is not enough to merely claim that agents signed result sheets. Nigerians and party stakeholders know that signatures can only carry legitimacy when accompanied by proper accreditation, consent, and transparency throughout the process.

The attempt to dismiss concerns as “post-election grievances” is both irresponsible and misleading. Genuine questions have been raised by stakeholders regarding inconsistencies, irregularities, and the authenticity of some documents associated with the exercise. These concerns deserve answers, not intimidation or diversionary narratives.

We also reject the attempt to weaponize party unity as a shield against accountability. True unity within the APC can only be sustained through justice, fairness, and adherence to democratic principles not through suppression of legitimate concerns.

If the organizers of the primary are truly confident in the credibility of the process, they should have no difficulty making all electoral materials and ward-by-ward figures available for independent verification.

Democracy thrives on openness, not secrecy.

We therefore call on the APC leadership at the state and national levels to immediately order a transparent review of the primary process and ensure that all documents relating to the election are made public.

Anything short of this will continue to cast serious doubts on the credibility of the exercise and may further deepen avoidable divisions within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Signed:

Concerned Stakeholders of Moro APC.
