Senatorial aspirants of the (APC) from Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara North Senatorial District have reaffirmed their commitment to zoning, party unity, and peaceful political succession following a strategic consultative meeting with the Etsu Patigi.

The meeting, held on Monday, May 11, 2026, was convened with the Etsu Patigi and Vice Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Council of Chiefs, , where key political issues affecting the senatorial district were discussed.

At the end of the deliberations, the aspirants issued a communiqué stressing the need to preserve the existing zoning arrangement in Kwara North, describing it as a vital instrument for sustaining peace, fairness, and political stability across the district.

The aspirants unanimously resolved that whoever eventually emerges as the APC senatorial candidate from Patigi Local Government Area would enjoy the total support of all other contenders.

According to the communiqué, political ambition must not be allowed to divide the long-standing brotherhood among stakeholders in the area.
