NANC NATIONAL 2026:A NEW ERA BEGINS AS NANC SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES CONVENTION.

 NANC NATIONAL CONVENTION 2026 SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED



The National Association of Nigeria Comrades has successfully concluded its National Convention for 2026 following a peaceful and transparent electoral process.


The convention activities commenced after the national congress held on 22nd May, 2026 at the NUJ Hall, Osogbo, where delegates and members across various states of the federation gathered to deliberate on the future of the association and strengthen the unity of comrades nationwide.


During the congress, a three-man electoral committee was constituted to oversee the conduct of the national election. The committee was chaired by Comrade Olaleru Folorunsho, who led the electoral process with commitment and fairness.



At the conclusion of the election held on 23rd May, 2026, new national executives emerged to pilot the affairs of the association for the next tenure. Comrade JohnClaude Peter (JP) from the South-West zone emerged as the new National President after defeating Comrade Aminullahi Jamiu from the North-West zone.


Also elected into various national offices are:


Comrade Habeeb Kabir — Vice President, Internal Affairs


Comrade Abdulsalam Maijamaa — Vice President, External Affairs


Comrade Lawal Ahmed Erudupe — Secretary General


Comrade Eunice Sunday — Financial Secretary


Comrade Sophie Oluwajumiye Faloye — Public Relations Officer (PRO)


Comrade Ganiyu Malik Iyadunni — Welfare Director



Other executives also emerged into different strategic positions to strengthen the leadership structure of the association.



Following the successful completion of the electoral process, the Independent Convention Planning Committee (ICPC), headed by Comrade Sanni Yusuf Olatunji (Aluta Poet), alongside the BOT Chairman, Comrade Ogunolu Samsideen, Comrade Bishop, zonal coordinators, and other respected stakeholders, addressed members and the press during a closing press conference.



In their remarks, the stakeholders commended members for their maturity, discipline, and commitment towards sustaining the ideals of comradeship, unity, and selfless service. The chairman of the ICPC thereafter officially declared the 2026 National Convention closed.


The convention marks another significant milestone in the continuous growth and democratic advancement of the National Association of Nigeria Comrades, while members expressed optimism that the newly elected leadership will promote progress, inclusiveness, and effective representation for comrades across Nigeria.
