Asiwaju Mashood Shittu Mourns Engr. Kamaldeen Yusuf Oke, Former OSU President

Asiwaju Mashood Shittu (AMS) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Engr. Comr. Kamaldeen Yusuf Oke, popularly known as "Bravo," describing his death as a monumental loss to Offaland, the student community, and Kwara State at large.
In a statement issued by the AMS Campaign Directorate, the former Offa Students' Union (OSU) National Headquarters President was remembered as an exceptional leader, committed progressive, and dedicated grassroots mobilizer whose impact transcended the student constituency.
Until his demise, Engr. Kamaldeen Yusuf Oke served with distinction as President of the Offa Students' Union, where he championed the welfare of students and promoted unity, academic excellence, and youth development. His tenure was widely acknowledged for its visionary leadership and commitment to service.
Reacting to the sad development, Asiwaju Mashood Shittu described the late Bravo as a man of uncommon courage, integrity, and selfless dedication to community development.
"The passing of Comrade Bravo is a monumental loss not just to his immediate family or the student union constituency, but to the entire Offa community," Shittu said. "Bravo was a visionary leader, an engineer of human capacity, and a fearless advocate for progress. His transition leaves a vacuum that will be incredibly difficult to fill. He lived for the service of others, and his legacy of accountability and grassroots empowerment will never be forgotten."
Shittu noted that the deceased dedicated much of his life to advancing the cause of young people and strengthening community institutions, earning the admiration and respect of colleagues, traditional leaders, and stakeholders across Offaland.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the revered Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Okikiola Esuwoye II, members and leadership of the Offa Students' Union (OSU), the Offa Descendants' Union (ODU), and the numerous friends, associates, and student comrades whose lives were touched by the late Bravo.
The AMS Campaign Directorate prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the departed, grant him eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus, and bestow strength and comfort upon his family and loved ones during this difficult period.
Engr. Kamaldeen Yusuf Oke's death has continued to attract tributes from various quarters, with many remembering him for his commitment to youth empowerment, educational advancement, and community service.
