APC Mourns Mother of National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaja Sidikat Basiru, the mother of the party's National Secretary, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, who died at the age of 92.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party described the late Alhaja Sidikat Basiru as a devout Muslim, compassionate mother, and respected matriarch whose life was defined by faith, sacrifice, and selfless service.

The party noted that her wisdom, moral values, and religious devotion were reflected in the lives and achievements of her children, particularly Senator Basiru, whom she raised with discipline, character, and the fear of Allah.

Speaking on behalf of the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the National Working Committee, party leaders, members, and supporters, the APC extended its heartfelt condolences to Senator Basiru and the entire Basiru family.

The party prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds, and grant her eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
