APC Ward Chairmen Forum Endorses Salihu Yakubu Danladi for 2027 Governorship Race



The APC Ward Chairmen Forum in Kwara State has declared its support for Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi (SYD) as the authentic governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was contained in a statement issued by the Forum and signed by its Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Baba Gobir, on behalf of ward chairmen drawn from the 193 wards across the state.

The forum also reaffirmed its loyalty to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, commending his administration for what it described as visionary leadership and sustained efforts toward the growth of the APC and the development of Kwara State.

According to the statement, Danladi's track record as Speaker of the 9th and 10th Kwara State House of Assembly has demonstrated his capacity for effective leadership, legislative excellence, and consensus-building among stakeholders.

The ward chairmen noted that his experience in governance and commitment to public service make him well-positioned to consolidate on the achievements of the current administration, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, youth empowerment, economic development, and inclusive governance.

The forum further described Danladi as a loyal party stalwart who has consistently contributed to the stability, growth, and grassroots expansion of the APC in Kwara State.

"As ward chairmen who represent the foundation of the party across the 193 wards of Kwara State, we are convinced that Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi possesses the leadership qualities, political experience, and grassroots appeal required to lead the APC to victory in the 2027 governorship election," the statement read.

The forum pledged to mobilize party members and supporters across the state to strengthen the APC's grassroots structure and ensure electoral success in future elections.

It also called on party stakeholders, members, and supporters to remain united and rally behind Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi in the collective effort to advance the development of Kwara State and sustain the progress recorded under the APC administration.
