Moro APC Stakeholders Pass Vote of Confidence on AbdulRazaq, Endorse Salihu Danladi

By Poet of Afrique Reporters

The Stakeholders, elders, party leaders, youths, and women groups of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State have passed a vote of confidence on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, describing his administration as one that has delivered significant development across the state.

The group, under the banner of the Moro Alaka Group, made its position known during a press conference, where it also endorsed Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Salihu Yakubu Danladi as a suitable successor to continue the developmental strides of the current administration.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Hon. Moshood Alaka commended Governor AbdulRazaq's achievements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, social intervention programmes, and economic development.

According to the stakeholders, the governor's leadership has brought stability, growth, and progress to Kwara State, earning him the continued support of party members and residents across the state.

The group stated that its endorsement of Danladi followed extensive consultations with community leaders, party faithful, youth groups, women organizations, and other stakeholders within and outside Moro Local Government.

They maintained that Danladi possesses the experience and leadership qualities necessary to sustain the progressive agenda of the APC and consolidate on the achievements of the AbdulRazaq administration.

The stakeholders also defended the APC primary process that produced candidates for various positions in the state, insisting that the exercise was conducted in accordance with the party's guidelines and procedures.

They noted that the emergence of Danladi reflected the wishes of party members and stakeholders, adding that no formal complaint was filed by any co-aspirant following the announcement of the results by the party delegation from Abuja led by Hon. Musiliu Obanikoro.

The group, however, dissociated itself from a recent press conference allegedly held by some individuals claiming to represent APC stakeholders in Kwara State.

According to them, the views expressed at the event did not reflect the position of the APC in Moro Local Government, nor that of the majority of elders, stakeholders, party leaders, youths, and loyal party members in the area.

"We completely dissociate ourselves from the purported statement and its contents," the group declared.

The stakeholders further recalled that some of the individuals associated with the controversial gathering had previously participated in reconciliation efforts within the party and publicly pledged support for whoever emerged through the party's established processes, particularly from Kwara North.

They expressed concern over what they described as a sudden reversal of position, urging party members to remain committed to unity, discipline, and the collective interest of the APC.

The group called on the people of Kwara State to remain united and continue supporting the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Reaffirming their confidence in the governor, the stakeholders reiterated their endorsement of Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Salihu Yakubu Danladi, expressing optimism that he would build on the achievements recorded by the present administration if given the opportunity to lead the state.

The press conference was attended by several political leaders and stakeholders, including former and serving public office holders, ward chairmen, traditional appointees, and community leaders from across Moro Local Government Area.
