APC Governorship Candidate, Party Leaders Visit Emir of Ilorin for Appreciation and Blessings

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Engr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, on Monday led party leaders, supporters, and other APC candidates on a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Emir of Ilorin.

The visit was aimed at expressing gratitude to the Emir for his unwavering support, guidance, and fatherly leadership in promoting peace, harmony, and development across Kwara State.

Rt. Hon. Danladi, accompanied by members of the APC family, used the occasion to appreciate the revered monarch for his continued commitment to the unity and progress of the state.

The delegation also sought the Emir's prayers and blessings as the party prepares to commence campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the visit, party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to peaceful political engagement and inclusive governance, while acknowledging the vital role of traditional institutions in sustaining social cohesion and democratic development.

The visit further demonstrated the APC's resolve to maintain strong ties with traditional rulers and grassroots communities as political activities gradually gather momentum across the state.

The Emir of Ilorin offered prayers for peace, unity, and continued progress in Kwara State, urging political actors to conduct their activities responsibly and in the interest of the people.

The visit formed part of the party's ongoing engagements with key stakeholders as preparations continue for the 2027 electoral process.
