2027: Senator Saliu Mustapha Calls for Peaceful APC Primaries, Endorses Gov. AbdulRazaq for Kwara Central Senate Seat


The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Saliu Mustapha, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Kwara State to conduct themselves peacefully and orderly during the party primaries for various senatorial positions ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Senator Mustapha urged party faithful to turn out in large numbers to participate in the exercise while maintaining peace, unity, and mutual respect throughout the process.

Speaking on the contest for the Kwara Central Senatorial District, the lawmaker openly expressed support for the aspiration of the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who emerged as the sole contestant for the APC senatorial ticket in the district.

According to Senator Mustapha, Governor AbdulRazaq’s emergence as the lone aspirant reflects the confidence, acceptance, and respect he enjoys among party leaders, stakeholders, and members across the state.

He stated that many party stakeholders believe the Governor deserves such recognition considering his contributions to the stability, growth, and progress of both the party and Kwara State.

The Senator also wished Governor AbdulRazaq and other aspirants participating in the primaries across the state a peaceful, successful, and rancour-free exercise.

He further appealed to APC members to remain united before and after the primaries in the collective interest of the party and the continued development of Kwara State.
