Also listed among the party's governorship candidates are Obafemi Hamzat (Lagos), Solomon Adeola (Ogun), Ogundu Kingsley Chinda (Rivers), Eric Opah (Abia), Mohammed Abubakar (Bauchi), Mustapha Gubio (Borno), Jamilu Gwamna (Gombe), Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (Nasarawa), Baba Malam Wali (Yobe), and Rt. Hon. Engr. Salihu Yakub Danladi (Kwara State).

The appearance of Danladi's name on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal is being interpreted by party supporters as a confirmation of his status as the APC flag bearer for the 2027 Kwara State Governorship Election.

The APC is expected to conclude the upload of candidates nationwide as preparations intensify for the 2027 General Elections and in compliance with INEC's nomination deadlines.

The development marks a significant step in the party's electoral preparations and further sets the stage for the forthcoming governorship contest in Kwara State.
