Education Advocate Accepts Role During Courtesy Visit by National Leadership in Lagos

The National Association of Nigerian Comrades (NANC) has announced the appointment of Dr. Segun Musa as its National Patron following his acceptance of the nomination during a courtesy visit by the association's national leadership to his office in Lagos.

The delegation, led by the President of NANC, Comrade Johnclaude Peter, JP, visited Dr. Musa on July 14, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen stakeholder engagement and advance the association's objectives in youth development and national advocacy.

During the meeting, NANC leaders briefed the newly appointed patron on the association's activities, organizational reforms, and strategic initiatives aimed at empowering Nigerian youths and promoting leadership development.

Discussions reportedly focused on youth welfare, education funding, empowerment programmes, the inauguration of the National Executive Council (NEC), and the implementation of the recently approved NANC Unified Identification and Digital Membership Policy 2026.

Accepting the appointment, Dr. Musa expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by the association and pledged to support its vision through mentorship, strategic guidance, and advocacy for the advancement of Nigerian youths.

He also emphasized his personal philosophy of “Be Happy all the Time and Be Bold at Everything You Do,” encouraging young people to remain optimistic and courageous in pursuing their aspirations.

Dr. Musa commended the leadership of the association for its efforts to strengthen institutional credibility through reforms, digitization, and the promotion of accountable leadership.

Speaking during the visit, NANC President, Comrade Johnclaude Peter, described Dr. Musa as a respected patriot, education advocate, and mentor whose experience and leadership would further enhance the association's mission.

According to him, the appointment will provide the organization with valuable guidance and strengthen its capacity to advocate for the interests of Nigerian students and youths.

The association expressed optimism that Dr. Musa's patronage would deepen collaboration with government institutions, development partners, and private sector stakeholders, thereby creating greater opportunities for Nigerian youths nationwide.

The visit concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to youth empowerment, educational advancement, and national development.
