The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kwara State Axis, has secured an official office space for the Students' Union Government (SUG) of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (KWACAILS), Ilorin.

The development was announced following an appreciation and familiarization visit by the leadership of NANS Kwara, led by its Chairman, Comrade Yusuf Abdulquadir Eleburuke, to the management of the institution in recognition of its support during the recently concluded NANS Kwara Convention.

During the engagement, discussions centered on issues affecting student representation and welfare within the institution. One of the key concerns raised was the need for a dedicated office space to enhance the activities and operations of the Students' Union Government.

In response, the Provost of the institution, Prof. Abdulsalam Abimbola Abdulganiy, approved the allocation of an office for the SUG and directed that the approval be implemented without delay.

The gesture has been welcomed by students and stakeholders as a major boost to student leadership and effective representation within the college community.

Speaking on the achievement, the NANS Kwara leadership described the approval as a significant milestone that would strengthen student union activities, improve communication between students and management, and provide a conducive environment for student leaders to discharge their responsibilities.

The association expressed appreciation to the management of KWACAILS, particularly the Provost, for demonstrating commitment to students' welfare and supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of student representation.

NANS Kwara reiterated its dedication to advocating for policies, programmes, and interventions that promote the interests, welfare, and academic development of students across tertiary institutions in the state.

The association further assured students of its readiness to continue engaging relevant authorities on issues that contribute to a more conducive learning environment and stronger student participation in institutional governance.
