Igbomina/Ekiti APC Youth Stakeholders Laud Tinubu, AbdulRazaq Over Adewoye's Emergence, Seek Rep Ticket for Ekiti Bloc

The Igbomina/Ekiti APC Youth Stakeholders in Kwara State have commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the emergence of Hon. Lekan Adewoye as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Kwara South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Omu-Aran, the group expressed gratitude to the President and the Governor for what it described as a demonstration of confidence, recognition, and political inclusion for the people of the Igbomina axis.

According to the stakeholders, Adewoye's emergence reflects the aspirations of the youths, women, and political leaders across the district, describing the APC senatorial candidate as a capable and experienced leader with the capacity to provide quality representation.

The group noted that Adewoye's political experience, leadership qualities, and exposure would contribute significantly to the development and progress of Kwara South Senatorial District.

While celebrating the senatorial candidacy, the youth stakeholders appealed to President Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq, and the leadership of the APC to consider the Ekiti bloc in the selection of the party's candidate for the Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency.

They argued that since the senatorial ticket had gone to the Igbomina axis, fairness and political balance would be better served by allowing the federal constituency ticket to emerge from the Ekiti bloc.

The stakeholders maintained that such an arrangement would promote inclusiveness, strengthen party cohesion, and reinforce the principles of equity and fairness within the party structure in Kwara South.

They further assured the APC leadership of their continued support and commitment to the success of the party in future elections, pledging to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027 and the governorship aspiration of Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi in Kwara State.

The group reaffirmed its loyalty to the APC and expressed confidence in the party's ability to sustain its electoral victories through unity, consultation, and equitable political representation.
