Gov AbdulRazaq Approves Cash Backing for 2025 TESCOM Promotion Exercise
The Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, has approved the cash backing for the 2025 promotion exercise for eligible teaching and non-teaching staff under the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).
The approval is expected to benefit qualified personnel of the Commission and further reflects the administration's commitment to workers' welfare, career progression, and improved service delivery in the education sector.
Reacting to the development, the Executive Chairman of TESCOM, Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar, expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq for what he described as his sustained support for education and the wellbeing of workers in the state.
According to the Chairman, the approval demonstrates the Governor's dedication to ensuring that public servants receive the benefits attached to their promotions without unnecessary delays.
He recalled that upon assuming office, the AbdulRazaq administration inherited outstanding promotion arrears and unresolved promotion exercises dating back to 2015. He noted that the Governor approved the conduct and cash backing of promotions covering the period from 2015 to 2025, a development he described as unprecedented in the history of the state.
Mallam Bello assured affected staff members that the Commission would immediately begin the necessary administrative procedures to facilitate the implementation of the approved promotion cash backing in accordance with government regulations.
He urged workers to remain committed to their duties, emphasizing that the present administration continues to recognize and reward diligence, professionalism, and excellence in service.
The TESCOM Chairman further reaffirmed the Commission's commitment to transparency, fairness, and efficiency in carrying out its responsibilities, expressing optimism that the approval would boost staff morale and enhance the quality of education in public secondary schools across Kwara State.
The development has been welcomed by education stakeholders as another step towards strengthening the state's education sector and improving the welfare of teaching and non-teaching personnel.
