The National Coordinator of the Kwankwaso National Network (KNN) and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Asiwaju Mashood Shittu (AMS), has disclosed details of a courtesy visit to elder statesman and veteran Kwara politician, Hon. Yekini Olayinka Alabi.

The visit took place on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Alabi's residence in the Government Reserved Area (GRA), Ilorin, where both leaders held discussions on leadership, public service, and the future of the constituency.

Speaking after the meeting, Shittu described the engagement as cordial, insightful, and enriching, noting that it provided an opportunity to benefit from the wisdom and experience of one of Kwara State's respected political figures.

According to Shittu, Hon. Alabi expressed confidence in his leadership abilities and his capacity to provide effective representation for the people of Offa, Oyun, and Ifelodun Federal Constituency.

He stated that the elder statesman described him as a credible and capable candidate with the experience, character, and vision required to advance the interests of the constituency.

Shittu further disclosed that Alabi commended his approach to leadership and encouraged him to remain focused on his commitment to service, integrity, and community development.

The veteran politician reportedly emphasized the importance of electing leaders who possess a genuine passion for public service and are prepared to work for the collective good of the people.

Expressing appreciation for the encouragement and confidence reposed in him, Shittu described the visit as a source of motivation as he continues consultations with stakeholders across the constituency.

He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering people-oriented representation and pledged to sustain engagement with community leaders, traditional institutions, youth groups, and other stakeholders in pursuit of inclusive development.

Shittu added that, if elected, his focus would be on responsive leadership, effective representation, and the implementation of initiatives that directly impact the lives and welfare of constituents across Offa, Oyun, and Ifelodun Local Government Areas.
