According to the Chairman of FUDECO in Kwara State, Hon. Saliu Umar Sanda, the organization successfully mobilized Fulani men and women across various communities in Ilorin West Local Government Area between Wednesday and Thursday, facilitating their participation in the voter registration exercise.

He explained that the initiative involved sensitizing community members on the importance of voter registration and guiding prospective registrants through the pre-registration process up to the successful completion of their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration.

Hon. Sanda also acknowledged the support of the APC Secretary in Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Jimba, who provided transportation assistance for registrants, enabling them to travel conveniently to and from designated INEC registration centres.

He noted that the intervention contributed significantly to the smooth conduct and success of the exercise.

The FUDECO chairman emphasized that the mobilization campaign aligns with the organization's commitment to encouraging democratic participation, civic responsibility, and greater inclusion of Fulani communities in governance and electoral processes.

He reaffirmed the association's resolve to continue engaging community members through peaceful and lawful means while supporting initiatives that promote political awareness and active citizenship.

Hon. Sanda added that FUDECO would sustain the mobilization drive throughout the registration period to ensure that more eligible citizens obtain their PVCs and exercise their constitutional right to vote in future elections.
